Seaview Sunset

Tonights Advice from a good friend: "But Annie, Life only sucks when you stop seeing the beautiful things. Because life is very simple. You either enjoy it or you don't."

From the Seaview rooftop
I watched the setting summer sun
Watched the colors change, the clouds engage,
and remembered why
 I have no need
to run.

Her advice couldn't of been more fitting. After hearing that, stepped outside to see this. One of the most beautiful everyday things that occurs in our world. The Sunset. I try to see it everyday, and everyday is just as beautiful as the last one. Never lose sight of the beauty this world has to offer, Makes life much easier and simpler and beautiful indeed.
And I'm so thankful to be able to love and live so free.

"Blue" by The Sea.

This is one of the first songs I've ever wrote. It's called "Blue".
Wrote this song in December '11.
After feeling confused for a while, then coming to terms with letting it go.
Before I was getting ready for my first real solo adventure, headed west! to Hawaii.
This was before I was really writing songs alot, before i started singing infront of anyone at all, so this song is one of the reasons why I realized I needed to start singing soon!
Cause when you start writing music, you got no choice but to sing your own tunes..So anyway, here's this tune inspired by a friend that once was but now isn't. A lover perhaps, but a friend indeed.
Never played it like this before, its a whole new tempo, a whole different feel but I dig it I think.
So, brought my guitar, "Blue", to the beach and shared some tunes with the sea and some friends.

Morning Surf Check.

Checking the surf, happily looking like a kook.

Entering the Juniverse

These days I've hardly been writing.
Just working non stop, but at least I've been playing some gigs.
Hope to start creating and working on alot more these next few summer months.
It's gonna be a crazy one, but it's gonna be a good one.
It always is.
Warmer weather, warmer waves, and the never-ending sunny daze are quickly approaching us.
Thankful to be in a place as beautiful as Montauk.
Here's a little one I wrote at Ditch this fine, windy evening.

Ditch Plains                                                                                                                      6/2/13
Onshore Daze

The smell of ocean.
The taste of salt.
The moist air brushing my skin.
The haze from the west is rolling in.
Waves are crashing, crumbling, dumping and racing.

I'm taking all this in while anticipating.

Anticipating all that's to come.
All I need to learn.
All I need to feel, create,
and slowly watch burn.

If I could control it all,
I'd tell the sun to take a break,
to stay inside and disappear for a few days.

Dark is peace, the moon is home.
When I follow the moon I find that I'll
never be alone .

So I'll sit on the shore in a daze,
I'll stare at the horizon.
Forever in wonder, forever defying.

The ocean is love, the ocean is real,
without the ocean I fear I would never
know how to feel.
