Christmas Skies.

The Great South Bay was glass.
Yesterdays Christmas colors and skies were perfect.
Magnificent, Vibrant, Amazing,
Beautiful.
Peace and Serenity.

Cold North Trees.

ColdNorthTrees

Been spending the last few months down South, in a much loved city called Charleston.
Returned back "Home" for the holidaze.
To a town called Bellport,
I do love the sight of bare trees against the sky,
but boy, oh boy, this image sure represents my feelings towards Bellport well.
It's just how I always imagine it.

Sailboats and Sunsets, and Towns you can't Forget.

Every so often this town provides me with some good ol' inspiration.
Inspiration to write, to create, to love, and to be happy.
Thursday was one of them.
Probably the most perfect sunset I've seen from this fine spot of significance.
Sometimes I forget of the town I grew up in, days like this remind me...

Folkswagon Trio

Here's something new and different for the ears to hear.

We are called "The Folkswagon Trio".
A three piece group consisting of myself and two good friends from the homelands.
Jeff Lanman and his Martin Dana, myself and my Seagull June, and Sean Burke on his electric geet, Lucy. Instruments may vary, and we like to trade and rotate instruments.
Here's our first two tracks, just the first takes but two super catchy tunes!
Surfrat, bluesy, folky singersongwriter vibes in each tune!

The first tune,

Crazy Eyes is a great intro to the trio. It combines our three styles perfectly, Jeff with his super unique and brilliant picking intro and riffs throughout the tune, Sean Burke with his trippy groovy leads and riffs, and Annie Trezza vocals and strumming. Good stuff. Good inspiration.

The second tune,

Try Something  is a very catchy surfrat kinda tune. Sean Burke lyrics and chords, Jeff Lanman with some surfy leads, and my first take on drumming. A fun song for sure.

So give em a listen,
and there will be more to come.

"Don't Think Twice"

Every musician has at least a handful of tunes that they love so dearly. That they can relate to more then most. A song that leaves them feeling such a great deal of emotion each time they hear it or play it. A favorite song in the world. Yes, I have quite a few. but there's one song I can say right away that is one of my absolute favorites. I can listen to it again and again, and never get sick of it. And no matter what every time I hear it I feel it in my mind, my heart, my soul. The lyrics ring so true and I can relate to this song more then almost any. The genius lyrics from Bob Dylan as well has his brilliant finger-picking. To me this song expresses how it feels to get your heart broken better then almost any other. The sarcasm, the truth, the pain, everything. It sums up exactly how I felt and I'm sure many other people. Bob Dylan tunes never fail in expressing exactly what my mind is thinking, and my heart is feeling.

"Your, the reason Imma travelin on, so Don't Think Twice, it's alright..."

So, this is one of my most favorite songs to cover and sing and It always allows me to release as much emotion as one of my tunes. I play it every set, and I find myself loving it more and more every time.
So here is a video from a gig a few weeks ago. Just an idea for ya of how I like to play this tune.
So enjoy a quick listen and Don't Think Twice, It's Alright...
